JOB SUMMARY

The Data Entry Operator is responsible for the accurate and timely entry, verification, and maintenance of data in various systems to support the project's activities. This role ensures data integrity, proper documentation, and efficient information flow to facilitate program implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
The Data Entry Operator will work closely with the project team to ensure all health-related data is processed accurately and securely.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accurately enter patient data, health assessments, program activities, and other relevant information into databases, spreadsheets, and organizational systems.
  • Ensure data integrity and correctness during the input process by following standardized data entry protocols.
  • Maintain and update electronic and paper filing systems to ensure proper storage and easy retrieval of documents.
  • Perform regular data backups to prevent data loss.
  • Review and verify entered data for errors, discrepancies, or missing information, and correct as needed.
  • Cross-reference information with source documents to maintain high levels of accuracy and consistency.
  • Adhere to data confidentiality and security policies, ensuring sensitive patients and program information is protected at all times.
  • Assist in generating regular reports (weekly, monthly) by extracting and compiling data as requested by the project team.
  • Communicate with medical staff, field teams, and program officers to ensure a smooth and timely flow of information.
  • Support the team in data collection efforts during outreach activities or mobile medical units when required.
  • Report any data-related issues or system concerns to the Project Officer or focal point.
  • Prioritize and manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines for data entry tasks.
  • Handle multiple data entry tasks simultaneously while maintaining speed and accuracy.
  • Support the team during peak periods or emergency responses by demonstrating flexibility in tasks and working hours.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Should have the following skills, education, and experience:
  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Secretary or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in data entry, database management, or health information systems.
  • Experience working with humanitarian organizations or in NGO settings is an advantage.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including formulas, filters, and data management features), Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong keyboard proficiency with fast and accurate typing skills.
  • Familiarity with data entry software, database systems, and electronic medical records is an advantage.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to data integrity.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic; working knowledge of English is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of key humanitarian principles including accountability, impartiality, neutrality, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and under minimal supervision when required.
  • Cultural sensitivity and commitment to MedGlobal's mission and values.
