Job Title: HR ASSISTANT
Job location: Gaza Office (On-site)
Reports to: HR & Admin Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY
The HR Assistant plays a key role in assisting with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, payroll, and archiving. The HR Assistant assists in reviewing and auditing employees and contractors’ payments to ensure they are paid in accordance with regulations and recommending solutions to issues as appropriate. The HR Assistant also helps in scheduling and facilitating interviews and any other recruitment related matters and helps with the migration into new systems and supports employees with the shift.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in conducting the recruiting of new team members and provide candidate recommendations to hiring managers.
- Help to onboard new team members to internal systems and assist in training as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date information on employees and contractors.
- Assist in managing HR-related claims on behalf of the organization.
- Assist the HR & Admin Coordinator in implementing HR-related policies and procedures as well as managing employees and contractors’ payroll.
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data, like absences, bonus and leaves.
- Coordinate HR projects, meetings and training seminars.
- Participate in any duties as requested by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- A bachelor's degree is required for this position, with degrees/concentrations focused on HR Administration preferred.
- 2-3 years of related experience in human resources.
- Working knowledge of payroll requirements, Palestinian authority regulations, and familiarity with payroll systems.
- Proven work experience as an HR administrative assistant.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, demonstrating a sense of urgency, and excellent follow-up, and to work independently and with confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Energetic and enthusiastic about work and new challenges and able to learn quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
