- Providing trauma-informed counseling and therapy to individuals who have experienced or witnessed traumatic events.
- Offering practical and emotional support to reduce acute stress reactions and promote coping mechanisms.
- Organizing community interventions to promote resilience, psychosocial well-being, and social cohesion among affected populations.
- Conduct psychoeducational sessions to educate individuals and communities about common reactions to trauma, coping strategies, and available support services.
- Collaborating with healthcare providers, humanitarian organizations, and community leaders to coordinate comprehensive care for individuals and communities affected by war.
- Building local capacity to provide ongoing psychosocial support and mental health services within communities affected by war.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and progress in accordance with ethical guidelines and organizational protocols.
- An advanced degree in Psychology (preferably degree in clinical psychology or psychotherapy) MA is a plus.
- Al least 3 years of proven experience in psychotherapy, counseling and psychological assessment.
- Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent Communication skills.
- Able to manage a case load independently.
- Capability to work under pressure.
- Excellent command in Arabic and English both written and spoken.
- Ability to work in outreach programs upon request.
- Commitment to MedGlobal’s mission and values.
- Knowledge of local health systems and community resources.
- Experience working in conflict or post-conflict settings.
- Ability to train and mentor field staff and community volunteers.
