JOB SUMMARY
The Doctor will be responsible for providing integrated health services within MG medical clinic in Gaza. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive care in  maternal and neonatal health, pediatrics, and general medical consultations. This includes conducting health assessments, providing medical treatments, and educating patients and caregivers on health practices. The Doctor will work closely with the project team to ensure effective implementation of health services in target locations.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide comprehensive maternal and neonatal health services, including antenatal care, postnatal care, and gynecological consultations.
  • Deliver pediatric and child health services, including diagnosis and treatment of common childhood illnesses .
  • Conduct general medical consultations for community members (mothers, caregivers, and children) as needed.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on essential health practices, including maternal nutrition, breastfeeding, childcare, and family planning.
  • Counsel patients on mental health and psychosocial support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential medical records for all patient encounters.
  • Identify and refer complex obstetric, neonatal, or pediatric cases to appropriate specialized facilities when necessary.
  • Work closely with nurses, midwives, and other team members to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols and medical waste management.
  • Report key health trends, concerns, and service delivery data to the Project Officer or Program Specialist.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Should have the following skills, education, and experience:
  • Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Valid license to practice medicine in Gaza.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven clinical experience in maternal and child health, specifically in obstetrics, gynecology, and/or neonatal care.
  • Experience working in humanitarian, conflict, or post-conflict settings is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to counsel and educate patients effectively.
  • Proficiency in Arabic is required; working knowledge of English is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills, cultural sensitivity, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and under the supervision of project staff.
