JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care as part of the health emergency relief response in Gaza. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive primary health care services to community members of all ages, including health assessments, administering treatments, health education, and supporting the overall health needs of the community. The Nurse will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services in target locations.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide direct patient care, including health assessments, treatments, and follow-up care for patients of all ages.
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitor patient progress and document all care provided accurately and promptly.
  • Assist doctors in medical procedures and consultations as needed.
  • Perform basic wound care, dressing changes, and other routine nursing procedures.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on essential health practices, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Participate in community outreach activities and mobile medical units to deliver health services in hard-to reach areas.
  • Work closely with community health volunteers to strengthen the link between the clinic and the community.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential patient records.
  • Collaborate effectively with doctors, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Identify patients requiring specialized care and facilitate referrals to appropriate health facilities.
  • Report key health trends and service delivery data to the doctor.
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols and safety standards.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Should have the following skills, education, and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Valid license to practice as a nurse in Gaza.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in primary health care, emergency response, or community health settings.
  • Experience working in humanitarian, conflict, or post-conflict settings is an advantage.
  • Strong clinical nursing skills and knowledge of primary healthcare practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to counsel and educate patients effectively.
  • Ability to work in a challenging, high-stress, and resource-limited environment.
  • Proficiency in Arabic is required; working knowledge of English is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills, cultural sensitivity, and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to engage in fieldwork, mobile unit activities, and community outreach.
