JOB SUMMARY
The Project Coordinator will lead the execution of health/nutrition project. This role serves as the central link between field teams and management, taking charge of daily planning, operational follow-up, and ensuring accurate data collection to support evidence-based decision-making.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the day-to-day coordination, supervision, and implementation of all project activities to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of distributions, ensuring they are conducted efficiently and reach the intended beneficiaries.
- Coordinate scheduled activities to safeguard complementarity between field interventions and the overall project purpose.
- Ensure that all team members approach project tasks in a cohesive and collaborative manner.
- Monitor project progress and provide daily implementation updates and reports to the Programs and Nutrition Specialists.
- Represent MedGlobal in meetings and correspondence with all bodies, ensuring effective communication and alignment with project objectives.
- Establish, maintain, and promote strong cooperation and communication channels with all relevant partners and stakeholders.
- Oversee data collection efforts to assess the impact of interventions on affected beneficiaries and inform decision-making.
- Maintain a structured data repository to track project risks and community needs.
- Ensure appropriate visibility of the project through the development and dissemination of visibility materials.
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with MedGlobal's internal control mechanisms, rules, and procedures.
- Coordinate with project supply chain partners and service providers to ensure full compliance with MedGlobal's policies and standards.
- Maintain and update project risk logs and implement risk-mitigation measures as needed.
- Facilitate knowledge building by synthesizing lessons learned and best practices from project implementation.
- Document successes and challenges to contribute to the improvement of future emergency responses.
- Actively contributes to knowledge of networks and communities of practice within the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Should have the following skills, education, and experience:
- University degree in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, or any related medical field.
- At least 2 years of experience with NNGOs or INGOs in emergency program implementation.
- Strong knowledge of the humanitarian context in Palestine.
- Familiarity with nutrition and health projects in emergency settings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems quickly, and anticipate challenges.
- Experience handling data with confidentiality and maintaining accurate records.
- Strong teamwork and coordination skills with ability to collaborate at all levels.
- Knowledge of donor compliance and reporting requirements is a plus.
- Experience with community health workers (CHWs) capacity building is preferred.
