Job Title: Project Coordinator
Job Location: Gaza, Palestine (on-site)
Reports to: Programs Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Project Coordinator will be pivotal in the execution of an emergency flood response. The Project Coordinator will help support in the project's coordination and liaison based on day-to-day management and planning, information gathering, processing, and presentation, the efficiency of knowledge creation and sharing, and the project's monitoring and evaluation effort in order.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordination of planned activities, as well as liaison with key project stakeholders and interventions.
- Ensure liaison with government authorities associated and compliance with the project defined guidelines.
- Daily coordination of scheduled activities to safeguard complementarity with project purpose and field
- interventions.
- Effective liaison, upkeep, and promotion of strong cooperation and communication with key stakeholders.
- Coordination of project supply chain partners' and service providers' operations to ensure compliance with MedGlobal's policies and standards.
- Assuring that team members approach project tasks in a cohesive manner.
- Oversee day-to-day implementation of distributions.
- Construct/implement the project's disease surveillance element (CHWs daily reporting forms design and systems)
- Deliver & align with the Ministry of health at state level.
- Ensuring that activities are carried out in accordance with internal control mechanisms, rules, and procedures and that includes risk-logs and risk-mitigation measures.
- Daily project implementation and progress reporting to the Program Manager.
Data collection, processing and presentation
- Collect data on the floods risk reduction measures and the impact to affected communities.
- Develop and maintain a data repository on floods risks in the area.
- Prepare progress presentations for interested parties.
- Ensure appropriate visibility of the project implementation and development of visibility materials.
Ensures facilitation of knowledge building and knowledge sharing:
- Synthesis of lessons learnt and best practices in project implementation.
- Sound contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
- Representing MedGlobal in meetings and correspondence with governmental bodies and the Ministry of Public Health.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 2-3 years of experience with NNGOs or INGOs supporting implementation of Emergency programs with more focus on disease surveillance.
- Good knowledge of Qadarif state Humanitarian situation and context.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate and coordinate at every level.
- Ability to work independently, quickly, problem solve, anticipate challenges, and handle data with confidentiality.
